The right shade of foundation should disappear into your skin seamlessly. Match the color around your nose and sweep across the apple of your cheek. Here are some of my top three tips for color-matching your foundation…
- Check the color in natural daylight – artificial light is deceptive and what looks right at the makeup counter can look very unnatural in daylight.
- Never use foundation to change your skin tone – foundation should have the same color base as your skin.
- Don’t forget that your skin is a different color in summer and winter and you should change your foundation shade accordingly. If you buy two shades, you can mix them together for a perfect match all year round.
