Prominent cheekbones slim the face and suggest dignity- here’s how to accentuate them. (A word of warning- if you have a round face, embrace it: faked cheekbones will look artificial.)
- Use a deeper color than on the apples of your cheeks, but not one too dark for your skin tone or it will look obvious- try beige or pale bronze or honey on darker skin.
- Using your fingers or a sponge for cream or a medium-sized brush for powder, apply a small amount of color in the hollow underneath the cheekbones. Don’t go all the way to the hairline or too low toward the jaw. Blend well, so there are no hard edges.
- Apply dots of highlighter along the top of the cheekbone, just below and around the eye. Use your fingers or a brush to blend this out carefully. The different shades of blush should not overlap.
- Balance the look by adding a touch of contour color at the temples. A square or heavy jaw might need a touch of color along the sides of the jaw.
