Enjoy brighter, cleaner, and softer looking skin using your own products at home. Like everyone, I don’t always have time to visit a spa and enjoy a professional facial, so once a week, I treat myself to one at home! These are the steps and products that I use to give myself a facial treatment without leaving my house. I encourage you to give it a try!
Step 1: I cleanse my face to remove dirt, oil and makeup.
Step 2: I gently massage a scrub onto my skin for a few minutes, concentrating on the rougher areas or areas prone to breakouts, like my chin, or nose. I then rinse with luke-warm water.
Step 3: Either I fill a container with warm water or use my bathroom sink. Dipping a face cloth in warm water. I press it onto my face a few times, to help open the pores. (I hop in the shower at this point and let the steam in the shower do it’s magic.) I gently pat my face dry – try not to rub, only pat dry.
Step 4: I spread a mask onto my face and leave it on for 10-20 minutes. You can lie down and relax while the mask does its job. Rinse with warm water and then again pat dry.
Step 5: Apply serums then your moisturizer and spend a few minutes massaging it in. Don’t forget to gently massage the eye area as this is the area where dehydration shows most in the form of lines. Take your time here as the massaging will help circulation and your creams will be absorbed more deeply into the skin.
Step 6: I try to get a good night’s sleep and wake up to radiant, pampered skin the next morning!
