Every good makeup artist swears by using a face primer before applying foundation! Doing so will ensure a smooth, even finish, that will not look heavy or caked-on.
The primer product that I use helps not only to feed the skin antioxidants, but it also fills in the uneven texture of the skin caused by lines and wrinkles, or acne scars and marks. By applying the primer, it creates a smooth canvas to which you can apply a lighter coat of foundation, whereby achieving a higher amount of coverage.
The foundation will “stick” to the primer base creating a long wearing look that will be less likely to move throughout the day. Everything you apply on top of this well-prepared base, will also adhere, and have more longevity for the day ahead.
