Eyebrow’s 101: Everything You Need to Know About Eyebrows!!!

images-18

I love seeing a well-shaped and sharply defined eyebrow. If your eyebrows are not balanced, you have a few options. Have a look at these techniques that I use for filling in eyebrows that need a little attention.

I like using a powder eyebrow product applied with an angle brush. A powder-based eyebrow filler is strongly pigmented and made to last. By brushing it into your brows, you can manipulate your natural shape, making them appear natural.

If you have full eyebrows naturally, (regardless of color), and don’t feel that you need to fill in any sparseness, you may choose to simply use the spoolie brush to comb through the hairs, laying them flat.

I like to finish them off with a clear brow gel which keeps them looking groomed and tidy all day long!

  • What you must do first is select the right shade with which to define your brows. I always look at hair color, eyebrow color, and natural lash color (without mascara) before I choose which shade will look most flattering.
  • You want to make sure that you stay within one to two shades lighter than your hair shade. You want your brows to flatter and support your eye area, not to take center stage.
  • If your hair color is….

Blonde – use light blonde shades

Medium Brown – use a medium blonde to light brown shades

Dark Brown –  use a dark blonde to medium brown shades

Black – use a medium brown to dark brown shades

Salt & Pepper – mix blonde with a medium to dark, changing the color to mimic the variation in hair color.
