This is my go-to technique for myself as well as what I teach my clients who want to create a more dramatic eye. This look offers the right amount of impact on most occasions and will not disappoint.
Begin by applying the lightest shade across your entire lid, under the eyebrow arch and inner corner of the eye (as we have practiced before).
Apply your mid shade in the outer 1/3 of the eye, in the crease, and extend slightly outwards, towards the outer corner, working in a triangle. This will help to open the eyes up and make them look further apart.
Apply the darker shade into the crease, at the outer corner, creating a smaller triangle. You are building layers of color that blend into one another, creating depth in the crease.
Line the eyes by applying the same darker shade across the upper lash line. Starting at the inner corner and blend into the base of the lashes. Work the line towards the crease that you have just applied.
Use a pencil, or a dark shadow, such as black, and with your angle brush, define the outer 1/3 of the lower lash line, staying really close to the lash line.
Finish with lots of mascara!!!
I love wearing this look as it allows my eyes to appear big and bright while adding a little drama!
