How To Use Makeup To Enhance Your Eyes!!! Tips & Tricks!!!

We all want to put out best face forward to the world. Many women who choose to wear makeup do so because it helps them feel more confident. Wearing well-done eye makeup can also be a huge confidence boost. Here are some tips, tutorials, and general advice for enhancing the beauty of your eyes through the use of makeup.

Pick A Primer

A primer will help keep your eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner in place throughout the day so that you avoid imitating a raccoon by five in the afternoon. There are several primers available on the market, from budget-friendly options to luxury primers only available at department stores, or Sephora and Ulta. Experiment with a few and see which one keeps your eye makeup looking great for the longest period of time without causing any irritation to your eyes. Remember that price is not always an indicator of quality!

Pick Shades That Match Your Eye Color

Makeup that matches the color of your eyes will go a long way towards enhancing their beauty. What makes one person look fantastic might make another person appear to be ill. If you have brown eyes, you can use lots of different colors, but you can make your eyes really “pop” by using blue or gold eyeshadow, as well as deep brown mascara and eyeliner. If you have green or hazel eyes, wearing purple eyeshadow, mascara, or eyeliner will enhance and highlight your beautiful eye color. You can also try deep browns for an everyday look, but try to avoid darker shades of brown as they can make you look washed out. If you have blue eyes, you can use dark gray eyeshadow to enhance your eyes or rose-toned eyeshadow if you want to try something new.

Remember Your Eyebrows

Perfectly made-up eyes are obviously beautiful, but too often we forget the eyebrows sitting directly above them! Keeping your eyebrows neat will help complete any look. Tweeze away obviously unkempt or stray eyebrow hairs, but try to avoid plucking too much. Having to draw your eyebrows on is not a good look!

The Smoky Eye

Smoky eyes can be a great evening look. You can choose any shade that best suits your eye color and skin tone, but many people stick to neutral colors for their eyeshadow and black mascara and eyeliner. When it comes to doing a perfect smoky eye look, less is more. Start by dotting small amounts of primer or oil-free foundation all over your eyelids, under-eye area, and just below your eyebrows. Once this is blended into your skin, apply your eyeshadow. Choose from a range of nudes, purples, or earth tones. Then, carefully apply eyeliner to the outer edges of your eye using a smoky pencil in either black or gray. Finish by applying your mascara.

The Cat Eye

The cat eye look has become popular again in the recent years. Paired with a good red lip, it can be a classic look for both day and night. It can really improve the overall look and shape of your eyes. You can draw a thick black line with lots of flair or keep it subtle and sexy with dark brown eyeliner. Start by applying your eye primer. Then apply a nude or earth-toned eyeshadow. When this has dried, use either a thick kohl pencil or good liquid eyeliner to carefully draw a thick and even line along your upper eyelid that goes past the outer corners of the eye. Flare the line outwards and up to create the classic look. Finish by applying your mascara.

Taking It All Off

Even if your eye makeup is still looking great by bedtime, you need to clean it off before you go to bed. Using just soap and water can dry out and irritate your eyes. Instead, choose a cleanser that is tailored for removing makeup from the eyes. These cleansers are typically very gentle on the eyelids, but they can effectively remove primer, mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. After you have removed your eye makeup, dot a little bit of eye cream on your lids and your under-eye area, and gently rub it into the skin.

Enhancing the look of your eyes by using makeup can be a great way to get a boost of self-confidence. Experimenting with different styles of eye makeup is fun and easy, and it can allow you to show off your personal style or invent a new one! Be daring and try some new eye makeup techniques today!!!
