Here are the top 3 makeup beauty secrets you all have been waiting for!!!! They have changed how I apply makeup, and hopefully for you too!
- Good lighting is essential for creating a polished, natural look. Daylight is ideal, place a mirror on the windowsill and face out if there’s soft sunlight; use a hand mirror and face away if the light is harsh. Avoid overhead lightbulbs, which can create undereye shadows. I have daylight bulbs on the sides of my mirror and sit by or in front of a window while applying makeup.
- Test colors on your jawline and throat – not your face, wrist, or hand. The right one will vanish into your skin. Always check the color in daylight; at the makeup counter, ask for a hand mirror to take outside to see if the color is right for you or they will have daylight mirrors at the counter. Shop for one shade in Summer (when the skin is generally darker) and another one in winter. Then blend the two for transition seasons.
- For extra-natural-looking skin, try a tinted moisturizer. Since it’s lightweight, it won’t cover dark spots, blemishes, or red blotches, but it will even out skin tone and then use concealer to correct dark spots, blemishes, etc..
