DIY: Lip Scrub (including tips)

images-1

As mentioned in (How-To Apply Lipstick, The Right Way) blog post, exfoliating your lips is very important. Exfoliation helps your lips to retain moisture for longer and will prevent them from cracking. It is recommended to use this lip scrub every week or two, depending on how dry your lips tend to be.

You Will Need:

    • Olive Oil
    • Sugar
    • Honey
    • Small Bowl
    • Tablespoon
    • Teaspoon
    • Small Container

Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix 1/2 a teaspoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of honey. Mix until well blended, but gritty. Apply a generous amount of the scrub to the lips using your index finger, moving in circular motions all over your top and bottom lip. Do this for a good minute or two, then rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel. This will leave your lips feeling soft and smooth!

Tip:

    • Always exfoliate your lips before you apply lipstick, it will go on smooth and last longer. Nobody wants cracked dry lips!
